By accessing our website and participating in our book clubs, literary events, creative writing workshops, author meet-and-greet gatherings, and library lecture series, you agree to be bound by these terms. We provide a platform for literary enthusiasts aged 40-60 to connect, discuss, and explore literature together across Portugal. Your continued use of our services indicates your acceptance of all terms outlined herein. If you do not agree with any portion of these terms, you must cease using our platform immediately. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued access constitutes acceptance of changes.

User Obligations and Conduct

Users agree to use our platform responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account information and for all activities conducted through your account. We expect respectful discourse during all book club discussions, literary events, and workshops. Prohibited conduct includes harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and any form of disruptive behavior that undermines the learning and social environment. Users must not upload, share, or distribute copyrighted material without proper authorization. All participants must respect the intellectual property rights of authors, speakers, and fellow community members. Violations of conduct standards may result in account suspension or permanent removal from our community without refund.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content on our platform, including event descriptions, workshop materials, lecture transcripts, and curated reading lists, is protected by intellectual property laws. We retain ownership of original materials created by our team, including event schedules, literary guides, and exclusive content produced for members. Authors and speakers featured in our meet-and-greet events and lectures retain rights to their published works and presentations. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any proprietary content without explicit written permission. You grant us the right to use your comments, reviews, and feedback shared within the community for quality improvement purposes. Creative writing submissions remain the intellectual property of the submitting author and may not be reproduced without consent.

Limitation of Liability

We provide our services on an “as-is” basis without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for losses, damages, or injuries arising from your participation in book club meetings, literary events, author gatherings, or workshops held in person or online. While we strive to provide accurate event information and schedule details, we are not liable for errors, omissions, or unforeseen cancellations. Users participate at their own risk, and we recommend appropriate precautions for in-person gatherings. We are not responsible for third-party content, links, or recommendations shared by community members. Our liability for any claim arising from your use of services shall not exceed the amount you paid for membership, if applicable. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so this may not apply to you.

Termination of Services

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our platform at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Termination may occur if you violate these terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if we determine your participation harms the community. Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately, and you must stop accessing all platform features. We are not obligated to provide refunds for membership fees upon termination due to violations. You may request termination of your account at any time by notifying us through our platform. After termination, any personal data will be handled according to our privacy policy. We may retain certain information for legal, compliance, or archival purposes as permitted by law.
